Jonathan is our lead instructor with 27 years of music education experience, has performed across Texas and Europe, and has a degree in music composition. He is currently teaching elementary music in CCISD and loves every minute of it!

My kiddos are so blessed that they got to take beginner guitar lessons with Rainbow Heart Music studios . Jonathan and crystal were absolutely amazing with myself , other parents and the kiddos . The way Jonathan handled the class was not only professional but loving . I was so impressed with how he spoke to the kids in a way that made all the kids feel comfortable. They all wanted to learn because he made it fun !!! I highly recommend this studio !!!

I started playing the guitar at 15 and most of what I know is self taught. Then I met Jonathan when he served at the church. When Jonathan found out I played he immediately had me go on stage and play with the worship team on Sunday mornings and other places. I struggled to play in front of my family. Let alone an entire congregation! But in that time I was able to advance my playing ability by learning different techniques, music theory, and I am more confident in my playing than I’ve ever been thanks to @Jonathan Owens. I am thankful for his time and patience with me and I can’t wait to see what happens with Rainbow Heart Studio!

Having studied piano briefly in my younger years (and failing miserably) I was apprehensive to try again in my later years. Once starting at Rainbow Heart Studio I quickly realised that I previously just didn't have the right teacher.
Jonathan's patience, and approach to music is paramount to any instuctor out there . With his infectious energy, and the willingness to tailor lesson plans to fit both skill and interests, I couldn't be happier to be a student there.
